New Age Protection (New Age) was contracted to provide security expertise and access control support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), for which New Age collaborated with DTRA to develop the guidelines, policies, and procedures for controlling access to DTRA facilities.

In this capacity, New Age security experts ensured compliance with prescribed government regulations and provided guidance on the development of guardsmen post orders and standard operating procedures. New Age Access Control Specialists support DTRA with frontline security monitoring by providing vital access control and security access functions on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. These include:

  • Verifying clearances and assigning badges to cleared and un-cleared personnel
  • Examining and scanning packages via X-Ray equipment
  • Controlling parking and vehicle registration
  • Conducting security checks throughout the program perimeters
  • Monitoring CCTV in the Central Protection Center
  • Maintaining security databases

Based on the performance of New Age personnel, New Age security recommendations, and the collaborative style in which New Age partnered with the prime contractor on this program, DTRA was able to enhance the security posture of its complex at substantial savings.
