From entry-level security instruction to advanced firearms training, courses offered by the New Age Protection Training Academy are conveniently scheduled to accommodate students’ busy lifestyles, and are held during business hours, after business hours, and on weekends.
Security Officer Training
New Age Protection Training Academy offers training for individuals pursuing a security career in the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the State of Virginia. These course range from 4 to 64 hours in duration.
Firearms Training
Firearms training consist of in-class instruction and range time. The New Age Academy offers .9mm and.38 caliber revolver training. Range time is required for course completion and is scheduled separately from class time.
Threat Assessment & Migration Training
NAPTA’s Threat Assessment and Mitigation course educates participants on the process of identifying, investigating and evaluating potential threats. Participants examine violence prevention, the basic principles of threat assessment and threat management as well as the development of security policies and procedures, and effective crisis communications strategies.
Private Investigator Training
Our Private Investigator courses prepare individuals seeking to become private investigators for registration and in-service recertification in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The courses cover civil and criminal law, court room demeanor, tools of the trade, report writing, crime scene investigations, and background and missing person interrogation techniques.
First Aid Training
Our First Aid courses are designed for individuals seeking to become Red Cross certified or those seeking re-certification. We offer a broad range of hands on first aid courses, including Adult, Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED, and AED for the Professional Rescuer.
